I’ve really been enjoying learning more about social-emotional learning. It’s something I naturally connect with, so being able to study it more deeply has been exciting. I still can’t believe I’m starting my Master’s program focused on something I care so much about.

This made me think about how important it is to keep students actively involved in their learning. When students are engaged, they’re more confident, more willing to participate, and more open to trying. It’s not just about keeping their attention, it’s about helping them feel connected to what they’re learning.

This idea really connects to how I see teaching. I don’t just focus on what students are learning, but also how they’re feeling, how they show up each day, and what they need to be successful. It’s a reminder that supporting students means looking at the full picture, not just academics.
